Auction Packages for Children’s Hospitals & Pediatric Charities

Short-program travel packages for banquets and award dinners. No upfront inventory, reserve what fits your family-focused crowd.

Banquet hall filled with guests at round tables

At a children’s hospital or pediatric charity banquet, your room is full of couples who came to enjoy an evening and support a cause they love. Travel packages that sell well here are exciting, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Think bucket-list sporting events like the Masters or Formula 1 races, and top international trips to places like Portugal, Ireland, or Iceland. These packages give bidders a way to give big without feeling like they are just writing a check. Because the program is often short, items that need little explanation and spark instant excitement work best. And since you never buy anything upfront, you can offer bold choices without any risk.

Your audience is not a room of corporate buyers. It is families, often husband-and-wife teams, who come to have a good time while supporting a mission that already tugs at their hearts. The emotional connection is already there. The auction packages do not need to sell the cause; they simply give people a tangible way to act on their generosity. That changes what works. The room responds to aspirational, fun experiences, things they might never buy on their own but will happily bid on when it helps sick children.

There is no cost to browse or reserve experiences. You set a reserve price above the package cost and keep everything above that. Recommended starting bids are 15 to 20% above cost, so your organization makes money from the very first bid. You only pay for an experience if it sells. You keep 100% over the cost. If bidding gets hot, you can sell the same experience to multiple families. And you are not too late: items can be added the same day as your event. If an item does not sell, you owe nothing.

You look through over 140 travel and experience packages online. Reserve the ones that fit your event for free and get marketing materials, a one-page PDF per experience with photos, details, and sometimes videos, plus a pre-event email with tips. At your banquet, you auction them as you normally would. After the event, you send us the winning bidders’ information, and the Giveback XP travel team handles booking. Donors have up to two years to travel for non-event trips; event-based ones like the Kentucky Derby are for that year’s event.

When the night ends, your auction feels like a natural part of the celebration. Winners look forward to their trip, and your organization keeps the profit without any leftover inventory or financial hangover. The mission got the support, and your donors got something they genuinely wanted.
