Silent Auctions That Work for Community Foundations & United Ways
No-cost travel and experience packages for your annual celebration, campaign kickoff, or golf event, without competing with your grantees for donations.

Experiences that sell well at your events include major sporting events like the US Open, regional getaways, adventure trips, and international destinations such as Italy. These travel packages fit silent auction tables and mobile bidding at annual celebrations, campaign kickoffs, and golf outings where corporate tables are common. Because your donor base spans the entire community, a mix of experiences gives everyone something to bid on. You only pay for an experience if it sells, keep 100% over the cost, and can sell experiences multiple times if the bidding gets hot. You are not too late: items can be added the same day as your event.
Community foundations and United ways have professional teams and a campaign culture that brings together business leaders and broad community support. You cannot ask local restaurants, shops, or attractions for donations because your grantees rely on those same sources. Travel and experience packages from outside your region solve that. They fill your auction without competing for the same dollars or straining local relationships. And because your events often include corporate tables, these high-interest items match the room’s energy without making anyone feel singled out.
There is no upfront cost. You browse and reserve experiences for free. You pay only for the ones that sell, and you keep every dollar above the reserve price. A recommended starting bid is 15 to 20% above the cost, so even the first bid brings profit. How many experiences you offer depends on your audience size and event format. A small campaign kickoff might use three to five items; a large annual gala might use fifteen or more. The team helps you decide the right number, and you can adjust up until the last minute.
You choose experiences from a list of over 140. Reserve the ones you want at no charge, and you receive a one-page PDF display for each, with photos, details, and videos when available. At your event, the packages go on your silent auction table or mobile bidding platform. Afterward, you send the winner information to Giveback XP. The travel team books the trips and handles all donor questions. Winners have up to two years to travel for most experiences; event-based trips like the US Open are for that year’s event. You never handle physical items or travel logistics.
After your event, you have new unrestricted funds from auction sales, your winners have trips to look forward to, and your local business partners were never asked to give again. The auction added to the evening without extra work, and you can repeat the process for your next event with a fresh set of experiences.
