Silent Auctions for Police & Fire Foundations

A realistic look at travel and experience packages that fit a police or fire foundation banquet, golf outing, or benefit, without upfront cost or risk.

Silent auction display table with bid number

Bourbon Trail packages, major sports and entertainment events, and golf and fishing excursions sell in this room. These are the items your crowd gets behind because they connect to the experiences people already talk about. A live auction with one or two trips like these can push a fundraiser past what the usual raffles and baskets reach. Mobile bidding works alongside a silent auction table so guests can bid from their seats during dinner or from the course at a golf outing. You browse over 140 travel and experience packages, pick what fits your group, and get everything you need to display and promote them.

Your event is not run by event professionals. Officers and firefighters volunteer their time, often around shift schedules, and the setup has to be straightforward. The foundation likely counts on donations from local businesses, and the mission behind the night is personal. Equipment goals are big, from patrol vehicles to thermal imaging cameras, and the regular fundraisers cannot always close that gap. A trip that costs nothing to list and pays only when it sells takes the pressure off, especially when you can add it the same day as the event.

You only pay for an experience if it sells, keep 100 percent over the cost, and can sell experiences multiple times if the bidding gets hot. You are not too late: items can be added the same day as your event. Start the bidding about 15 to 20 percent above cost so there is profit from the very first bid. How many packages you take depends on your audience size. A smaller golf outing might run two or three, a large banquet could handle more. You reserve what you like for free and get a one-page PDF display per experience with photos and details. After the event you send the winners’ information and the Travel Team books their trips.

Browse and reserve experiences at no charge. Receive marketing materials, including display sheets and a helpful email with pre and post event tips. Run your auction, live or silent or both. After the event, pass along the winning bidders’ details. The Travel Team handles the rest and will send more than 3,000 donors on experiences in 2026. Winners have up to two years to travel for non event-based trips. Event-based experiences like the Kentucky Derby or CMAs are for that year’s event.

Your foundation funds the equipment or family support program you set out to fund, and a couple of travel packages helped get you there without risk or upfront cost. The auction fits into the night you already plan, and the process did not add work for your volunteers.
