Sonoma Valley is the birthplace of the California wine industry and often called The Valley of the Moon. Sonoma Valley is home to some of the earliest vineyards and wineries in the state, some of which survived the phylloxera epidemic of the 1870s and the impact of Prohibition.

Kunde Estate

For over a century, five generations of the Kunde family have farmed the 1,850-acre estate in Sonoma Valley. Their elegant, estate-grown, sustainably farmed wines are beautifully balanced. As part of this special experience, your group will enjoy an outdoor seated tasting of the Kunde Family Estate’s impeccable wines served with a charcuterie plate.

VJB Vineyards & Cellars

Everything about VJB exudes Old World charm. Enjoy a taste of Italy at this family-run winery in beautiful Sonoma Valley with their small production Italian varietals. Afterwards, browse the marketplace for Italian specialty goods or some of Maria’s homemade sauces and pestos and finish your visit by purchasing a treat from the onsite chocolate and gelato shop.

Wellington Cellars

Sitting on 25 picturesque acres , Wellington Cellars offers classic French varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Bordeaux style blends. Relaunched in 2017 by the Belmonte Family, the focus shifted to ancient vine Zinfandel planted on the estate dating back to 1882, 1912 & 1924. Wellington Cellars produces on 3,500 cases annually with no distribution, wines are only featured in the tasting room and through the wine club.

Transportation

You will receive five consecutive hours of chauffeured luxury SUV service with knowledgeable drivers on the wine country area who can discuss wineries along the route.

Accommodations

Enjoy a 3-night stay in two rooms (standard guest rooms, double occupancy) at accommodations near downtown Sonoma, California.

 

Note: Sonoma is approximately 1.5 hours north of San Francisco and Oakland.

Blackout Dates:  All major holidays and special events including Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, Mother’s Day, BottleRock, NASCAR at Sonoma Raceway, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years weeks. Harvest Season (weekend dates in September/October). Weekdays during Harvest Season are extremely limited and may be subject to an additional charge.

This auction item must be booked a minimum of 60 days in advance and subject to availability.  All purchases are non-refundable. Packages cannot be resold and travel must occur within two years from date of purchase.

Accommodations may be substituted for a comparable or better property. Transportation is not provided unless specified. 15% gratuity for the driver is included but additional gratuity is encouraged.  Wineries are subject to change based on availability. You must be 21 to participate in the tastings, but guests of all ages are welcome on the tours. Lunch expense not included. Gratuity for tours and tastings is not included but recommended.
