Renowned worldwide for its prestigious wine, Burgundy is considered the holy land for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Both varieties artfully pair together with the delicious local cuisine. This beautiful rural region of France will take you through peaceful hedged farmlands, vast expanses of vineyards, mysterious forests, fresh rivers, and lakes on a journey through a unique and magical atmosphere.

Built heritage can be seen all over Burgundy, including the castles of Ancy-le-Franc, Bazoches, Cormatin and Tanlay, the prestigious Abbeys of Cluny, Fontenay and Pontigny; and in cities of art and history like Auxerre, Chalon-sur-Saône, Dijon and Nevers. The famous Hospices of Beaune and the majestic basilica in Vezelay, a World Heritage site, also contribute layers to its rich history and diverse heritage, making Burgundy home to endless treasures!

The charming town of Beaune is considered the actual capital of Burgundy wine. Surrounded by old stone ramparts, it is the center for the Burgundy wine trade as seen by the highly acclaimed auctions at the Hospice de Beaune every third Sunday in November. The historical old town contains remarkable monuments and beautiful Renaissance buildings mixed with quaint, half-timbered houses and charming inner courtyards. Beaune is one of France’s authentic, precious gems just waiting to be discovered!

Accommodations

Your group of six will stay for 6 evenings in a lovely 3-bedroom and 3-bath townhouse in the center of Beaune. This spacious property is located in a 17th-century house completely restored in 2017, with cozy common areas, fully equipped kitchen and featuring all the comforts of home. The property’s setting combines authenticity and contemporary spirit, ideal for traveling with family or friends.

While in Burgundy

Head into the countryside surrounding Beaune on 2 wheels, for an easygoing bike ride through world renowned vineyards together with a private guide. Discover the magic of Burgundian wine, stopping to visit a winery, meet the winemaker and taste a selection of 5 different wines from the area. 

To complete this trip of a lifetime, one evening a personal chef will come to your accommodations and prepare a tantalizing dinner based on traditional French Burgundian dishes! 

 

 

Blackout Dates: July and August are available for an extra fee of $1500.  Other blackout dates are major holidays, special events and additional dates may apply.

This auction item must be booked a minimum of 60 days in advance and subject to availability.  All purchases are non-refundable. Packages cannot be resold and travel must occur within two years from date of purchase.

Accommodations may be substituted for a comparable or better property.  Mid-week cleaning, plus final cleaning fees and utilities are included.  Transportation is not provided.  Gratuity for excursions is not included but recommended.
